Kings Barbers is a digital showcase for a traditional Turkish barbershop located in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. The website introduces local clients to the shop's grooming services, pricing details, and opening hours whilst allowing them to book appointments. By streamlining the client journey, the platform serves as a digital storefront that matches the shop's luxury grooming experience.
The business required a web presence to match its traditional Turkish grooming standards without the overhead of a database-driven booking backend. The main challenge lay in delivering rich visual features—such as ambient video backgrounds and custom letter-shimmering effects—whilst maintaining fast loading speeds and visual stability. Additionally, the interface had to remain fully responsive across mobile devices, which represent the majority of customer traffic.
MernLabs engineered a static website using a modern component framework that enables selective client-side interactivity only where necessary. We structured the bookings to route directly through pre-filled WhatsApp click-to-chat links, eliminating database complexity whilst retaining a direct user experience. To support the brand style, we developed custom CSS animations and graphics that render without reliance on heavy script libraries. Finally, we integrated image optimisation and structured schema metadata to support local search engine visibility and page speed.
